Title: Thinks he's helping himself
Post by: Washisheart on August 23, 2013, 05:10:14 PM
When he's actually doing me a favor!

So, he's quitting smoking and "getting his mind right" so every time he wants to complain about something horrible about us "you live like pigs " (meanwhile my house is clean) and "you dress the kid like a slut" (leggings and a long shirt), he calmly tells himself that nope, he's not going to get himself worked up about this, he doesn't cre, he's going to stay quiet. Next step! Getting him to stop announcing it and just REALLY stay quiet!

I know what you mean, my partner makes a big song and dance about doing some household chore. When in reality all she has done has picked up her own trash that she's left on the floor.

Ah well, whatever works at least they have done something, even if it was self serving and of little value to anyone else.

Its like having a big fanfare when a toddler is first able to toilet themselves.

I prefer to think of it as funny rather getting too worked up about. Masters of the oversell.
