Title: It's my birthday in a few weeks
Post by: mcc503764 on September 03, 2013, 07:29:32 AM
Funny, it's my birthday in a few weeks as well... . last year she took me out, treated me, and was actually nice to me!  Don't get me wrong, I know it wasn't about "me," it was about "her" (as usual) as she needed to prove something to herself... . perhaps that she was trying to convince herself that she is capable of "normal" r/s behavior?  I don't really know, nor do I wish to try and understand her pretzel logic... .

I am fairly certain that she is with someone else (at the moment,) so in all honesty, I would be quite surprised if she attempted to contact me... .

She knows where I am at... . I am not that hard to find.  But, it has never been her MO to be straight, so her attempts are usually in some form of a sneaky / non traditional method... .

I by NO means am waiting for this to happen, but if history repeats itself, I will be subtly looking over my shoulder on that day!

It sounds like you want her to reach out to you.  Are you interested in getting back with her?

Honestly, I know that there is nothing at "the end of the rainbow" with her... . I've been through it too many times.

Perhaps I am nostalgic to an extent?

Her past patterns are to attempt to contact at certain times of the year so it's not the case where I am hoping for something, but rather being vigilant that it may be a possibility.

Yeah, I got that from it.  It's ok... . it's fine to be nostalgic and treasure the times you had, even if her disorder makes it have a limited shelf life.  The important thing is that you know you gave love, and are a loving person, and are worthy of love in return.
