Title: Perspective on Mirroring
Post by: snappafcw on October 21, 2013, 04:35:04 AM
Hi guys. I don't contribute much to healing but I noticed something tonight that might help out.

I live with a good friend of mine she has a daughter that's almost 4. My friend and her friend were watching something funny tonight. Every time they would laught the daughter would mimic and laugh exactly the same way. It was forced. She didn't know what she was laughing at she just wanted to fit in/be accepted.

I bring this up just in case anyone is sceptical that people with BPD have child like qualities. This helps shed some doubt for me.

Interesting observation, Snappa, especially when you consider that BPD emotions are equated to those of a three year old.
