She did ask me one night when we were drunk if I would sleep with her after I got married in the future to someone else. This was after I caught her cheating and had told her I was going to leave her. As far as BPD doing strange things, I think the higher functioning ones do a lot of reading to compensate for their lack of social / interpersonal skills. I know mine could repeat things that she had read almost as if she was reading them as she spoke to me. It was very strange and a lot of times it was random stuff. There was some much f78ked up stuff red-flag that I just flat out ignored like a dump azz. Love is blind but BPD is blindness and in the dark! Title: Re: under the influence brainwashing? Post by: eyvindr on October 30, 2013, 02:00:21 PM Mine insisted she was a speed-reader and that she had a photographic memory. Of course, when that would have been handy, it was never in effect... .
She did spend endless amounts of time online doing "research," which she would then regurgitate verbatim, as if she'd spent 20 years actively working in whatever field of knowledge she was talking about. Kind of annoying. Title: Re: under the influence brainwashing? Post by: GreenMango on October 30, 2013, 09:28:36 PM Excerpt decided to get stoned Getting stoned and using drugs can have crazy effects alone. Add in using with a person who has emotional problems can lead no where good. There's a thread on the varying effects of prescribed drugs for BPD and unpredictable effects dependent on the psychological state of the person. It sounds like you guys were doing E or some kind of similar psychotropics. Be careful. It may recreational for you - but self medicating for them tends to lead to problems. I'm not trying to judge you here or be to harsh, but someone with BPD is high risk for addictions or self medicating. Not to mention the effects it can have on your own health and judgement etc. Do you do this often? Title: Re: under the influence Post by: 2pts on October 31, 2013, 10:53:10 AM My BPDxgf did the rocking a few times. But never with me.
She would often tell me how to parent my girls and how bad a parent I was, as well as how manipulative my 6 and 8 yr old girls were to separate my attention from her (which we had many discussions about when I was sober, she was rarely sober) when she was drunk (heavy drinker), I would have 2 drinks in me. She despised that I would not sacrifice my daughters attention and instead 100% focus on her. |
