Title: crazy never stops
Post by: suffering_parent on November 11, 2013, 03:43:33 PM
So BPDw tried to bring a friend to her visitation this weekend.   My court order prevents her from bringing any 3rd parties to our home.   She didn't care and was going to do it anyways.   It wasn't just any friend it was one I had to file a police report for beating my kids.   Before I got emerg custody wife left kids in her care for two days and they got beat.   The RCMP were less then helpful up in Canada at the time.

So contacted my lawyer and she suggested to contact the sheriff here.   I also got in contact with the guardian ad litem to let her know what was going on.   Then I emailed wife that the authorities were alerted to her attempts to break the court order.

Never heard anything back and she never showed up.

It was really stressful and I would like to somehow prevent this women from ever seeing my kids again.   This happened now back around Aug 1.   Not sure on next steps.   Going to try to re-connect with the RCMP in her town.    I am wondering if I can get a protection order or something.   This individual has serious mental health issues and major anger problems.   Birds of a feather flock together... .

In my town, there is a DV advocate who can help answer these questions. Maybe you have the same? Or a hotline in Canada you can call so someone can tell you how it works in your area.

I'm not sure about getting a protection order for kids, how that works. Since you're in another country, I would start with DV advocate if you have one locally, and then try the hotline. They'll find someone who understands how things work in your local area.
