Title: Scissors paper muesli bar
Post by: bpbreakout on November 28, 2013, 05:12:43 AM
BPDw had fight with d14 today as d14 accidentally took BPDw's phone to school and left her own one at home. After everyone had left the house this morning apparently BPDw unpacked D14s lunchbox from the day before and tossed an uneaten muesli bar into the sink as she was walking out of the door. Apparently the muesli bar bounced off the tap and into the kitchen window causing a number of cracks to appear in kitchen window. We now need to have all the windows in the house replaced as they are inadequate. I have a suspicion some important information has been left out of this narrative. Would anyone care to fill me in ?

You mean you don't have impact proof windows Breakout?  I had no idea a muesli bar was that hard and she has an arm.

Seriously though you aren't going to get an admission that throwing junk near a window broke it.  It has to be the windows fault.

Im sure there's more to this story but does it matter?  Can you replace this window and move on?

It's important to pick your battles.

Don't worry Green Mango, I totally agree this one isn't worth pursuing. I often find that with these situations that there is an important piece of information that has been left out so I have to say I am curious. I'm wondering whether the muesli bar happened to be still inside the lunch box as  it travelled warp factor 10 from the kitchen door to the sink  :)

I laughed out loud at your topic title. Pretty much sums up the craziness  :)

The only truth is that you will never know the truth.

There is always an important piece of information that has either been left out or corrupted

Easier just to deal with the consequences and not try to make it even worse.

Breakout,

Way to go on keeping your sense of humor.  Its hard sometimes.   |iiii

I used to have a lot of mysterious projectile objects around my house... .and lots of stories with missing pieces.  A few less these days... .  I don't even bother asking most of the time - just doesn't matter.  As GreenMango and Waverider said... .I pick my battles.

Hi bpbreakout,

BPDw had fight with d14 today as d14 accidentally took BPDw's phone to school and left her own one at home. After everyone had left the house this morning apparently BPDw unpacked D14s lunchbox from the day before and tossed an uneaten muesli bar into the sink as she was walking out of the door. it is well known that muesli bars have rubbery consistency so it is not at all surprising that it bounced off so high  .

Confessions are a great goal if you are in the Spanish Inquisition business but don't really lead to much learning. I found it more useful to focus behavioral consequences for behavior. In this case e.g. one could somehow involve her in tasks required to get it repaired.
