Title: Feeling vulnerable and exposed when dating-common BPD traits? Post by: Diana82 on November 29, 2013, 06:19:03 PM Hey
My ex who I strongly suspect is BPD told me after 4 weeks of feeling such passion for me that she felt "very vulnerable and exposed". This came after her misinterpreting my tiredness one night for being rude and judgmental. And she then let me in on her baggage issues from her ex. I told her that I was here if she ever wanted to chat. But this seemed to overwhelm her and she said "ok this is getting full on. I liked things when we were having hot sex but now I feel very vulnerable and exposed. I need space" ... .I was very confused at what I had done. Wasn't like I was suffocating her. She had misinterpreted my mood and actions in a negative way. I don't understand what she meant by "exposed"... Was it because I tried to get close by being her friend? Cos 2 days later she was needy with me. Title: Re: Feeling vulnerable and exposed when dating-common BPD traits? As soon as they start getting close, she gets uncomfortable and suddenly says, "I don't think she and I can be very good friends." I think it is a fear that if they get to know her too well, they will get freaked out and leave her.

I remember at the time I had no idea what she meant. It seems she is very aware of her issues. I wonder why she doesn't at least go to a psych. She even told me she has "mental issues" but never said BPD. :/ |
