Title: Passive signs
Post by: Tessaking on December 19, 2013, 06:39:05 AM
Hi all, I wondered if passive signs are common with BPD sufferers?

My ex fiancĂ© of over a year who has abstained  from all contact with me pretty much since the day he left, just posted a video of him singing on fb. He blocked all contact with me including fb but I have another account so I can see a few things. He doesn't set anything to public, but this one video he has.

The song he is singing was fairly significant to 'us' it was a song we chose to have playing in the background of a video which captured all our memories together. Sitin on the dock of a bay.

I know I shouldn't read into anything but I wondered if this is some kind of round about sign? I think he's aware I can still see what he does on fb.

Thanks

T x

Hi Tessaking,

I know I'd be curious, too, if something like that happened.  I don't think anyone except pwBPD can know if it's a sign or not, but the point is that you are getting the feeling that it might be.

If it is a sign, how do you feel about that?

I do believe that most borderlines are passive aggressive by nature.  It is a form of control.

Hi Tessaking, I think the real question is why you are hanging around his FB site?  If you are movin' on, then whatever passive signs he may be giving, in my view, are immaterial.  But maybe you are still hoping to get back together?  Perhaps you could sit with your feelings and figure out what's behind this FB quest.  Just observe your feelings and see what you learn.  Lucky Jim
