Title: What does your inner child want for Christmas? Post by: Rose Tiger on December 24, 2013, 09:49:46 AM Mine wants my mom to come back from heaven and do all the cooking. :) Really! Innerchild doesn't want to be in charge of everything, the presents, the food, the decorations.
I am looking forward to going to this little church where they do things like people from the congregation will sing a song or play an instrument, then the children help with the nativity story. It's so cute, simple and sweet. Then driving through the richest part of town to see the lights with my teen. Hot chocolate and then come home to watch a movie and put together a puzzle. Inner child is excited about this part. How 'bout you? Title: Re: What does your inner child want for Christmas? Title: Re: What does your inner child want for Christmas? Post by: Rose Tiger on December 24, 2013, 11:12:43 AM I know, it was simpler back then, the hardest part was waiting for the parents to wake up so we could open presents.
What are your plans for today? :) Title: Re: What does your inner child want for Christmas? Title: Re: What does your inner child want for Christmas? Post by: Gidget on December 24, 2013, 12:45:53 PM Thanks Rose,
for the prayers we never lost total contact saw each other at the kids games etc. I had just decided that I no longer would take her abuse anymore. Family hasn't been the same since. I found this board by accident and it has given me some great insight to what I had been leaving with the things I did wrong and how I now have to try and get it right. I know before speaking to her about a lot of these issues I need to learn and try and understand. The stories have helped a lot. We have a lot of healing to do. I think this was a huge step for us uncomfortable with my husband but a big step. I am grateful for the small things now knowing I can't fix all the big things right away! What can you do to comfort your inner child this Christmas? Title: Re: What does your inner child want for Christmas? Post by: Gidget on December 24, 2013, 03:41:33 PM I think my faith in God always got me thru the tough times in life so I think I am really just comforting myself right now with the fact that all will be well that everything happens when it is meant to happened and believe like I always did that all is in Gods hands. What will be will be. I actually always said I wanted nothing but Peace for Christmas I actually feel more peace then I ever did.
Maybe that peace is coming from realizing I can't control the outcome and accepting what is at this moment. Thanks Rose |
