Title: Waif huh?
Post by: joethemechanic on December 31, 2013, 05:48:52 PM
So I'm learning here. my BPDgf is what's called a"waif".

Oh how that fits her. Blonde with big green eyes, all of 5 feet tall and about 100 pounds. Her parents were killed in a head on car wreck in 1966 when she was 6 months old, and she was pulled out of the wreckage unhurt. She was raised by an older sister with an abusive husband.

It gets even better... .

When she was 17-18 she used to show up at my house all beat up and bloody from her bf beating her, My mom (Who is an RN) used to clean her up and bandage her wounds. And of course she'd want me (The 6' 3" 260 pound motorcycle riding heavy equipment mechanic) to protect her.

Oh God how I fell for it... .

She even has a "waif" name. I better not say it, but it's right out of a popular children's story that I'm sure you'd all know.

waif is a type of borderline person. someone who is passive, wants others to take care of them, etc.

Here is a link that is about the types of BPD behaviors and sort of categorizes them:
