Title: I Am the Better Half
Post by: Pretty Woman on January 03, 2014, 01:29:23 PM
Well guys, I am finally coming out of the FOG. Don't get me wrong... . it is still hard but now I don't shudder everytime I hear her name (it's a pretty common name) and I am accepting I deserve better. I am seeing I contributed to this by not standing up for myself, but I did not have the tools. My core issues run deep and we were drawn together but I CAN and I WILL get better.

Yup, you heard it here... .

I deserve better!

I deserve a HEALTHY loving relationship with a woman who is emotionally available. I deserve a relationship where we can communicate freely and be in the "present" while navigating our "future". I deserve a relationship where my concerns can be heard without fear or retribution for the expression of my personal thoughts and desires.

I deserve a relationship where when we argue we can discuss afterwards.

I deserve someone who does not abandon me for others and treat me like shyt on a whim.

I deserve happiness, joy and bliss with someone who loves me for WHO I am even if our interests are different. Someone who appreciates me for what I bring to the relationship. Someone who can LOVE FULLY and reciprocate all the love I have to give wholeheartedly.

I deserve better!

I deserve better!

Yes, you do, Pretty Woman!  I hope you'll print out this post and have it handy – it's a great New Year manifesto

Remember to give yourself the time, caring, and attention that you gave your ex-partner.  You matter, and you deserve your love as much as, or even more than, anyone.

We're cheering you on!
