Title: The snow is bringing out some of his anger issues
Post by: comorbidspouse on January 05, 2014, 06:02:02 PM
He's outside right now trying to get my car out of the road. I told him it was stuck, but he's angry at me for the weather I suppose? I would love for the car to be in the drive instead of on the road, so that the plow trucks could clear the space in front of our house, but unfortunately, that was the only spot I had to park, and it's now stuck from the snow that piled up today. But apparently he "doesn't like me" and I'm the source of all problems.

I am just hanging out inside now because trying to help only gets me yelled at!

Been there! All I can do is leave him alone when he is being like this, even though I'll likely hear about how selfish I am later for not helping or made to feel he deserves a medal and more.

Also: ordering take-out food and he doesn't like it (it's up to me to find the restaurant). My 3-year old throwing a tantrum. My 3 year old whining, crying, or anything else (because I "spoil" her aka nurture). Crap at his job. Unexpected expenses. Him having no clean socks. Etc.

So happy I found this board. Knowing it's a disorder is a great reinforcement for my sanity and self-worth. Thank you for sharing!

Yes, the snow and the cold too!  The cold especially is making it tough for me to leave our shared (small) space to enforce my boundary of not sticking around for verbal abuse, since it takes about 20 min to bundle up me and the kids to get out of the house.

Oh, and lots of sympathy over here for being considered "the source of all problems"... .   Clearly you know that is absurd and are doing the right thing to stay out of his way rather than waste the energy JADE'ing.  Hang in there and stay warm!
