Title: Validating? I need examples

Ive read everything on this topic, I even watched a video on this. I cannot quite grasp what to do.  Can someone give me examples please?

I hear what you are saying in regards to how confusing it is to get a good grasp on effective validation, it is quite a tricky concept to get a full grasp on despite all your reading and research. Often effective validation will be unique to the dynamics between the two individuals concerned.

As you participate in the discussions on this board you will take on a different way of approaching things, rather than using set phrases. I am sure it will dawn on you with time and practice

(That was an example of Validation)

The following is an example of not validating:

"Keep reading it is quite easy when you try I dont know why you find it so hard"

In the former i gave credit to your efforts and acknowledged your were finding it hard. Then reassurance that I believe all will be well. A tool we call SET (Support, Empathy & Truth)

In the latter I dismissed your concerns completely
