My exBPDbf just sent these lyrics to me.  What is he trying to say?  I don't understand     Is this more denial?  More gas lighting?  More projecting?         Or is there some other message here?

Those are lyrics written by someone else, about someone else!

Nothing to do with him or you!

They'd be of Little to no value even if he had penned them! He'd write completely different lyrics in the next moment. Given he didn't write them at all this communication from him is worthless. A child wanting you to come out & play again! It's as simple as that!

In a very very sick way, I thought it was interesting song he chose to send you. The words are more about what a non would experience, not a pwBPD. So it's not personal, it's just about someone else's pain.

In the end, he just wants to play victim and see if you took the bait. He's probably is trying to cause some reaction to see if you go baby his pain (the pain he caused). Of course, no matter what his motives are/were just delete, forget, erase, move on... .

Translation: Oh woe is me, I suffer because you're a cruel woman... . but I still want a response from you anyhow.

i have experienced similar, she emails me stuff that she knows will push my buttons so i can respond.  perhaps this is similar. he knows what to say to you (even if he uses words that are not from him) so you fall into the temptation of answering.

as much as it still causes a reaction on you, SB is soo right. Delete and move on! (i know the feeling, we all know the feeling of responding... . try not to!)

Aww... That's sweet of him to send that to you! He must have has the lightbulb pop on in his head and is willing to admit that your needs are just as important as his. That's all I can think.

I think he's trying to say that he's gay.

Thank you friends, once again, for pulling me back.  Sorry that I panicked about this, but for god's sake.     For me, this has been the worst part.   :'( The gas lighting and projecting.  I know who I am.  I know how I was raised.  I have life experience.  I have loving friends and family.  Never in my life has "mental illness"  come into play, that is, until I allowed him into my wonderful life.  The life he tried and continues to try to destroy.  My crime?  I loved him and showed him that every day. 

I think this has become a game to him.  He's never going to stop trying to break me.  I'm a challenge for him for sure.  He told me in the not so distant past that he was in therapy.  I was so hopeful until I found out the "therapy" only involved meeting with a doc so he could continue his Rx for ADHD meds.   

Anyway, I will not respond to his     I called my sister and explained the latest.  What she said:

"LMS, he took you away from us for 5 years.  We finally have you back.  Do not respond, keep your head clear and remember who you are, how you were raised, what he stole from you and that you are above all his craziness.  Stay focused and stay with us, please.  Your doing so well." 

This still pisses me off so much though.  What a piece of hit_.

He no doubt really does view it as stated in the song--you are inconstant & hurt him. You come and go. He wishes yours were a true love but he doubts it is.

That's really  how it feels on their end. And that mistrust and doubt, groundless though it may be, will tear apart whatever efforts you makeI

Maybe you can see the song as a gift. If this is how it feels to him, no wonder he acts as he does.
