Title: What does too close means
Post by: Hannibal Heyes on January 26, 2014, 01:18:46 PM
As the love of my life is in a special place for his drug addiction and I guess to work on his disorder, I keep going back at what happened.

The question I have is about being ''too close''. Is it that we come too close to them, or is it that they feel too close/love us too much?

I think it's just where there are no boundaries. The two of you basically morph into one entity with the BPD dictating things. You're basically just along for the ride. Once you show any independence, it scares them and they torpedo the relationship and leave. They can't stand to not be in total control.
