Title: DBT Workbook Post by: thelady_v2010 on February 07, 2014, 06:35:17 PM Are these any good? Does anyone have one to recommend? My son cannot start DPT until he gets out of jail. I can photocopy pages and mail them to him. I was wondering if that is even a good idea?

I don't know about starting him with pages from a workbook. Perhaps, someone that has a workbook can advise you with that. I thought about getting one for my daughter, but I doubt she would do the work unless she was assigned. Does he have therapy appointment for when he is released? Title: Re: DBT Workbook Post by: crumblingdad on February 10, 2014, 05:16:49 PM Are you getting him the workbook because you want him to use it or are you getting it because he requested it?
I tried it both ways and it only worked when my dd requested it. If he's not 100% vested in participating in the workbook it will probably be an exercise in futility but if he's more then 50% and has some basic understanding of dbt principles it might be worth a try.
