Title: A good day
Post by: Narellan on May 05, 2014, 02:47:20 AM
I just wanted to share with everyone, my new found friends, today has been a good day. Nothing special happened, I had a day off work and I was able to pick up a book and really get into it. On reflection, it's the most calm day I've had since meeting my ex BPD. This morning when I woke up I felt " lighter", and I believe I'm really well into the detachment process now. I've even laughed today as I posted here a few ridiculous experiences I shared with my ex.

I'm not saying its all uphill from here, but it's feeling like I'm on the right track. And it will be 8 weeks NC on Thursday. I will celebrate that. I've had a terrible few months and been sharing lots of my emotions, so just an update today ... . I feel good. I feel like me. No ruminating. It's a really great feeling. I know there's a light at the end of the tunnell now.

Well done!  It's great when we get a day like that.

I am almost 5 months NC and have noticed a definate positive shift in my feelings lately.

I still have down days, but on the whole I am happy.

Things do get better.
