Title: Feeling grateful for healing
Post by: Cheshire on May 07, 2014, 04:36:19 AM
I have been in therapy now for almost 2 years. When I look back I am astounded at how much I have grown and changed since I started healing. I am so grateful for investing the time in myself and believing in the change I wanted within. I am still here, I have been in successful no-contact with my FOO for over a year, I go to therapy once a week, and every day I feel stronger and find more clarity. I write about it on my blog when I have the time, and I meditate once a week. My therapist is great, we did another sand play session last week. I have done about 20 or so trays since we started the therapy, and each one is a powerful experience. If you can find someone who practices sand play therapy, I enthusiastically recommend the experience. It helps on so many levels. My anxiety is well under control, my depression has lessened, and I am working on controlling the rage I still feel from my childhood. Telling my story has helped greatly, and sharing here and elsewhere is powerful medicine. Thank you all for reading. I am meeting with my aunt that helped me start down this road to healing this afternoon. I owe her a life debt for the support she surprised me with. I hope a cupcake will do for starters.  :)  thanks again everyone.

A wonderful example that there is a brighter life before us, if we are willing to work at it.  Congrats to you for all your hard work and for sharing!
