Title: the night before the big test, she has upset S10 call me..& she stays to listen
Post by: gary seven on May 18, 2014, 10:23:56 PM
quick story: tomorrow is my national recertification test.  I have been away from the family most of the weekend holed up in a hotel for peace and quiet.  Cramming like I was back in college.  Like no shower for 2 days.  Been studying 6 months.

Saw the kids at a brief lunch today , went for a massage and then came back to study some more.

S10 calls tonight & wants to speak to me, but she has to be in the room so we can't really have a private conversation---man-to-man.

And he got upset , and I think her being there might have been well intentioned, but she doesn't get it.

So it quickly dwindled where he got more upset, then younger S7 walks in, Grandma climbs up the steps to throw in her two cents and it quickly becomes a disaster.

So I say good night I need a break, and then the texts start from her...

Really now, can't she just take NO for an answer?  If she didn't want my advice on handle it why did she make him call?  To make her feel superior parent?  Really?

Hi gary seven

Yes, I think she can't take a NO for an answer. Its hard I know.

Phone off - and give yourself the break so you can go for your test tomorrow. I really with you all the best for tomorrow.
