Title: Three is the magic number...
Post by: BlondeRunner on June 06, 2014, 10:08:05 AM
Hi everyone,

I hope you are all ok today.

Just an observation but in the words of De La Soul it seems that "Three, that's the magic number... . " when it comes to pwBPD.

I see a disproportionate amount of recycling attempts made around the 3 month mark. Has anyone else noticed this? What is with that?

I think it depends on the person and the situation.  I definitely noticed a "cycle" with my ex, when I was married to her.  It was about 1.5 - 2 years.  However, during our reconciliation attempt after the divorce, it was much shorter... . probably about 3-4 months.  Of course, it is possible that I just recognized it much sooner, as well.  In other words, in years past I probably allowed things to drag out much longer until they built up to a head.  This time, I didn't.
