And nothing but her driving by my house a few times Silent treatment is a very hurtful way of asserting control, though a break-up introduces another dynamic. (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=68733.0) When we become triggers for the core pain of a pwBPD, they often cut off contact to cope with their disordered emotions (and recycling or contacting us again is the other side of this, the common denominator being those disordered emotions).
