Title: Did anyone ever get death threats from their BPD spouse? Post by: letmeout on July 11, 2014, 09:31:58 PM When I finally left my BPDex, I often feared that he would go on a murderous rampage because he was so out-of-his mind delusional at the time.
He got revenge in the form of stealing everything we owned (which was outrageous, but my lawyer insisted to let him have it to get away from him). Other than shooting our family dog 5 times, and making threats to harm me and others, I feel darn lucky to still be alive. I think my ex was a true psychopath with BPD. Yes, my thoughts were brought on by reading about recent Texas killer Ron Haskell who was searching to kill his wife and children after she fled; what a terrible tragedy. Always go with your gut instincts! If you need to flee your mentally ill partner, then do! I ran and hid for the first year, and I will forever maintain no contact. Her threats were to be taken seriously as I found out after being attacked when I was sleeping. Also, at least three times I stopped her violent rages by talking her down before she went after people that had wronged her in some way. I wonder what terrible things would of happened if I hadn't of talked her down and soothed her. Most of the time it wasn't even that big of a deal. It was to her though. Yeah, I'm NC for life too. I just hired a divorce lawyer and he told me I wont have to talk to her at all.
