Title: Thursday Theory
Post by: MommaBear on July 17, 2014, 09:10:09 AM
Hi all!

On another thread we were discussing the issue of breaking NC. Our BPD exes seem to do so on Thursdays, for some reason.

Mine just texted me asking how my name is spelled.

I am not kidding.

*sigh* ... .Sometimes this d/o is genuinely hilarious in it's twisted predictability.

I don't get to have N/C, but I do have L/C.  I am going to laugh out loud if she contacts me, today.

My name is spelled F-U-C-K-O-F-F!

My ex usually breaks NC on weekends. Though I now believe she pretty much drinks the weekends away with new guy.

With her shame of me knowing she screwed around on me, there is no telling when or where her next episode will be and how it will manifest itself. But if it is on a Thursday I will let know!

There may be some validity to this, though coincidental. Because i work with my ex the low object constancy hasn't really taken effect and she's still trying to make me jealous with her replacement. Tonight I'm djing at a pretty big show and though I know it's not her type of music I wouldn't be surprised if she and him show up tonight.

:) I believe it was me that started that Thursday thing... .

Defo! 90% of Thursdays were hysterical at best and catestrophic at worst. i could make a list a mile long about the Thursday sessions  :)

Things would normally start off badly in the morning and fall away through the day. For me it would be about damage limitation on the day and Fridays would be a monumental hangover for both of us. I spotted the cycle and once even pointed this out to her. She dismissed this as bs   I don't have a theory. It was just like that. Maybe her emotional rhythms hit a low point on that day? These days I'm done with working her moods out. It's none of my business and I won't be nosy about this anymore :-)

Also, since we split over 3 months ago, I've noticed that she reaches out to make contact on Thursdays too. It's Thursday today so I'll semi brace myself to hear from her and as usual blank her direct and sometimes obscure attempts to get supply from me.

That Thursday feeling  :)

After allowing 5 recycles... .and accepting absurd abuse. After realizing im an addict in mind numbing withdrawal until i meditate  it away with new dbt and mindfulness skills... .i no longer can allow contact. Mine would banish me... .then text or call ... .no rhyme or reason. If she needed something and exhausted her other targets she would contact me with a demand... .that may or may not have resulted in transactional sex. Just enough to keep me permanently hooked. Thursday? Who knows. I changed my number last sat. Sorry 4 the buzz kill.

Just a thought on Thursday Theory:

The weekend is coming so:

If you are still with pwBPD - they cycle to start something so they can do something over the weekend and not feel guilty or to justify it.

If you're not with pwBPD anymore - they reach out on Thursday because they have nothing lined up for the weekend and hope to reel you in so they do have something to do.

I have noticed that at time my uBPDw has started scorched earth campaigns and then left town for a few days as a "result". Always seems fishy to me.

Stove Monkey's thoughts ring loudest for me. Glad someone brought this topic up again, because someone mentioned Thursday fights and I couldn't find it.

My exBPD would start fights on Thursdays regularly and then angrily tell me she was going out to the bar on Friday night to punish me. I think was her ongoing strategy to get her regular 'supply' of male attention.

We could never do something together or go out drinking together on her Friday night off. What an idiot I am.

Alright, maybe Im looking too hard but I think I got caught up in the Thursday Theory.

I still remain friends with my ex's friend from High School on Facebook. I unfriended my ex because well... .she said she didnt want me in her life.

In any case, when we were on an agreed mutual 3 month separation we were still friends on FB (stupid FB).

Anytime she posted a pic of her and her friend I liked it. I didnt like anything else she posted. I always believed that this one friend was the one true friend to her (besides me). The only one with some real common sense.

In any case Thursday marked 7 days of NC. What do I see on my FB timeline? My ex tagged a photo of her and High School friend which of course gets put into my timeline. Maybe Im stretching buuuuuuuuut... .
