Title: Finding help
Post by: allbeengone on July 26, 2014, 09:20:32 PM
So my uBPD tentatively agreed to find treatment for her illness. So I was wondering if you guys know any recommended DBT therapists around here. I'm located in the Dallas area. She hasn't been properly diagnosed yet.

Hello, allbeengone &  *welcome*

I'm happy for you that your wife is considering Therapy; it's the first hurdle she needs to jump on the road to recovery, and I sincerely hope that she follows through with it.

I am not in the Dallas area, but I do have a site that should be able to help you find the information you are looking for: NAMI: National Association for Mental Illness (http://www.nami.org/Template.cfm?Section=your_local_nami&Template=/CustomSource/AffiliateFinder.cfm); there is a search bar on that site you can use, besides all the information on that page.

Maybe someone familiar with the Dallas area can help you, but NAMI is a great place to start... .Good luck, allbeengone. It sounds like things could be looking up

Thank you for the info! Whoops I meant to say my uBPD friend.  She also suspects she has BPD but she has not gone to see a doctor yet.
