Now that Im NC for 3 months I have to remind myself that my feelings are now worthy of my noticing them. I do have feelings that I would just cast aside (I got used to that) and disregard to make room for my x's all important bull___.

AJ, so many of us have learned from a young age that our feelings didn't matter compared to those around us.  This is a great reminder that not only do your feelings matter, but YOU matter.  Just as much as anyone else.  It sounds ridiculously obvious, but for many of us, it really isn't.

When I realized how much I ignored my own feelings and needs, I started listening to myself much more often.  It has been surprisingly difficult to break the habit of ignoring myself!

This is an insight that can change your life.  How can you build upon this realization going forward, aj?

I put myself first now. I am my own priority. Some friendships' dynamics were edited. Other were totally terminated. I spend more money on myself now. I do not go to a restaurant and say this is expensive i will order a cheap plate. I exercise. I am not a slave to my repressed feelings and drink every night as a coping mechanism anymore. I accept myself as who i am. Upon thinking why did not i accept myself before. I could not find a valid reason. I discovered that i have learned this wrong inception since childhood
