Title: Did anyone here get the creeps while watching "Saving Mr. Banks"?(Spoiler Alert)
Post by: Jema on August 05, 2014, 05:08:13 PM
I just watched this over the past weekend. More than a bit "funny" for me because "Mary Poppins" was the first movie my uBPDm took me to, when I was three (1964).  It's still one of her favorite movies.

I'm curious if anyone else made the connections that I did. (My [Non] wife made them independently, as well.)  I saw many issues with abandonment, unreasonable expectations, and an inability to see one's self from others' points of view.

The financial issues she was having at the beginning of the movie were also eerily similar. Still, she wasn't going budge, regardless of her plight. So typical... .

Cheers,

Jema
