Title: Finally... some relief Post by: sanemom on August 05, 2014, 07:53:27 PM After the agreed settlement was read into the record months ago, BPD mom refused to sign the written version. I guess she didn't realize that she had agreed to reduce time with the boys in an effort to make sure that DH had less time with DSD, and now she is regretting it.
Our attorney filed a motion to enter, and not surprisingly, the GAL came to the judge today fighting for BPD mom once again, requesting that more time be added with BPD mom to the order. Fortunately, the judge asked the GAL if the written order reflected what he already approved; the GAL had to say yes; and then the judge refused the GAL's request and said he was signing it. Bad news? I am sure that BPD mom's behavior is about to escalate again. In fact, after 45 days of silence, DH already started getting manipulative emails this morning right before court. Oh yeah, and her attorney told the judge that BPD mom is already wanting to file a motion to modify. Our attorney says that if she does, we counter with it being frivolous (she is supposed to wait at least a year) Good news? She won't have a powerful GAL backing her anymore--he was dismissed as part of the order. I feel like we got the 180 pound gorilla off our back. I agree with you that you should probably expect further deregulation. But you know to document. Glad to hear the latest round is over for now. |iiii
