Hello hampster and  *welcome*

We are glad you've found our site as we have lots of members and resources that can help you cope. Parenting a child with BPD is difficult and can put stress on the whole family.

Can you tell us a bit more about your daughter? What were the behaviours that led to determining it may be BPD? Is she in treatment? Do you have a partner and other children?

You've come to the right place to learn more. We look forward to hearing your story so our members can provide ideas and direct you to tools that will help.

Welcome again!

Hi Hampster, I wanted to add my welcome to NorthernGirl's!

I look forward to learning more of your story too. We have a great group here for parents of children with BPD, and they're an awesome support group for any parent dealing with the difficulties of knowing how to best help their child.

Here's some good reading for the family with a child suffering from BPD: Family Guidelines (https://bpdfamily.com/pdfs/neaBPD.pdf)

I'm glad you're here. :)

Hi hampster, I wanted to join NorthernGirl and DreamFlyer99 in welcoming you

I am sorry to hear that you daughter is struggling. I think that it is great that you know what you are dealing with though. Many people suffer for years without knowing what is going on. You will find that many of pwBPD discussed on these boards are undiagnosed. Your daughter is also very lucky to have such a loving parent that is looking for ways to help her

I know how difficult BPD can be, but you now have unlimited support. Please tell us more about your situation and ask any questions that you may have. We are here for you
