Title: Does this seem like ex is reaching out?
Post by: withoutapaddle on August 29, 2014, 11:19:29 PM
... .or maybe im reading into it too much.

Quick backstory:

I had a 13 year old cousin that had a few bouts with cancer and unfortunately lost her battle in February. My ex and I werent really all that close with her, or her parents. We would see them on holidays, birthdays, bbqs, etc. It wasnt like we were around them all the time (every weekend, etc.)

In any case I found out that my ex-uBPDGF had sent them a card last week. It said something to the effect that when she saw the card it made her think about my little cousin and that she thinks about her all the time.

Am I reading in to this too much, or is this some sort of reaching out in an unexpected way? Her and I have been apart now for almost 7 months and we had been together 10 years.

Thoughts?

It could be her reaching out.

It could be her trying to show your family that she is a nice person

Or it could just be the fact that she is genuinely upset by the loss of your cousin and wanted to send her condolences.

It seems too indirect to be her reaching out to you though.

True, true. Thank you very much!
