Title: Possible recycle?
Post by: Suspicious1 on September 11, 2014, 11:31:47 AM
It's my son's fourth birthday in a few days' time. My ex loved buying him gifts when we were together.

I got home earlier today to find a birthday giftbag with boys clothes and a couple of books in it hanging on my front door. There is no card and no note, but the clothes have quite a distinctive smell, just like my exes clothes used to smell. It's been nearly four months but I'm sure I recognise that smell.

I'm guessing if it's him he bought them ages ago and they've been sitting in his house, but it's a mystery.

Is it all too anonymous for a recycle? I've no idea how to respond to this.

Hi Suspicious1,

NPD / BPD behaviors are confusing. It's difficult to understand the logic when their distorted belief system doesn't make sense to the non. I don't think that there's a right or wrong here. If your comfortable with it, give the gifts to your son. Take it for what it is.
