Title: Bound By The Queen Witch's Benevolence
Post by: jmanvo2015 on September 24, 2014, 11:27:23 AM
Everyone please indulge me because this is just going to be a kind of silly rant.

As you know, I am temporarily living with my uBPDm and her NPD husband. What a wonderful challenge this has been for me to work on the traits of patience, self esteem and fortitude (she said sarcastically.)

They're, clearly, very impressed with themselves for the generosity and financial assistance they've provided their ungrateful and emotionally unstable daughter (me   )  They are prancing around their kingdom in their states of superiority as monarchs always do.  I am, on the contrary, forced to behave like Cindarella and succumb to the Queen Witch's every command.  "Clean the cat litter off the terrace."  "Come and get your laundry."  "Move your car out of the driveway." "Vacuum your room."  These royal commands are always delivered with that impervious, dictatorial tone that royals use.

This morning's command: Take my dear cat - my big lovable fluffy ball of orange fur who I adore hugging because he's so soft and warm and cuddly - to the groomer.  "Off with his fur!" The Queen Witch demanded!  "It is triggering my allergies and circulating in the air," she said pointing to the ceiling fan and A/C vents.  I honestly think she's beeing overly dramatic and that her "allergies" are more pyscho-somatic than anything else.  She's not allergic to my cat - she's allergic to me!

So, off we trot, my dear ball of fur and me to find a groomer to do away with his bothersome fur.

Oy. Oy. Oy. Oy. Oy vey.

Oy vey!

Sounds like my BPD ex but even more like her narcissistic mother!

Such great validation you must be experiencing! Taking the lovely family cat to the groomers... you should be so lucky to be handed such an important job!

Why don't you take it to the SPCA and exchange it for a puppy

I like the "Queen Witch Benevolence" reference... .its funny, when my ex doesnt contact me I think her broom must have run out of gas

Thank you walksoftly because your comment really made me laugh  :)

I've found it really helps to sometimes just see the pure absurdity in my parents' over-the-top behaviors. It's not always possible to not personalize them and to do this, but when I can, I have to admit that they're really funny people.  Definitely a sitcom or Disney fairy-tale in the making... .
