Title: Tense evening
Post by: Yaffle on October 09, 2014, 07:56:28 AM
As it tunred out nothing bad happened but all last evening my girlfriend was talking non stop, repeating things she'd already said or recanting other recent conversations.  You could just tell she was waiting for me to miss something or give the wrong response.  Luckily I managed to keep with her until she went to bed but its exhausting, not being able to relax or unwind.  I ended up having an extra drink that I shouldn't have and went to bed later than I should have just to give me some time to relax.

I feel ya for that extra drink. We gotta take care of ourselves, and a little bit of relaxation poison can be helpful.

It sounds like you navigated a medium-level dysregulation perfectly, defusing each topic her disorder came up with rather than JADE-ing. Good work!
