Title: PMMD? Post by: Mr. Solo on October 16, 2014, 09:36:04 PM Anyone's SO suffer from PMMD as well as BPD? As my dBPDw would get closer to menstruating she would ramp up. Once she began menstruating, within a few hours, she would be back to normal (or normal for her/us). She was prescribed Prozac and Adderall and was instructed to double up on the Prozac when she was within a few days of her expected period. The Prozac actually helped but, unfortunately, she was not very disciplined taking it. She would also use the PMMD as an excuse to rage. "Oh. I am sorry I hit you last night. The PMMD made me do it." Seriously.
Title: Re: PMMD? Post by: MissyM on October 16, 2014, 09:40:32 PM My girlfriend that has BPD also had severe PMDD. She found that birth control pills and Effexor worked for her. She has recently been going through perimenopause and no longer has PMDD. She said that has been the best part of getting older.
