Title: Inpatient Treatment Help
Post by: jceeze on October 26, 2014, 05:52:06 PM
Hi there.

My family and I arranging an intervetion for my 32YO sister who has been suffering with BPD for about 14 years.

I was wondering if anyone was willing to share information about Inpatient Facilites and you or a loved one's experience with treatment.

Optimally, we are looking for a 30, 60 or 90 day program that takes insurance.

Any advice or comments would be greratly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi jceeze,

*welcome*

There are lots of people here who understand what you're going through, you're definitely not alone in this. I haven't done an intervention and don't have experience with inpatient facilities, but found this on our site that might be useful: Residential Treatment Program (RTP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)? (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=126687)

And even though you're here for your sister, you may find a lot about Inpatient and Residential facilities on theParenting a son or daughter suffering from BPD board (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?board=4.0).

How is your sister doing right now? Is she living with you and other family members? It's tough to live with and love someone who is BPD. How are you doing right now?
