Title: IRL Support Group?
Post by: josli on November 11, 2014, 05:54:13 PM
Has anyone ever heard of a support group in real life for partners or former partners of people with BPD/NPD? Has anyone ever started one or thought about starting one? I've been thinking about the idea recently, and was wondering if anyone else has experience, insight, or ideas. I recently read Stop Caretaking the Borderline or Narcissist and got a lot out of it. Maybe it would be helpful to start a group in real life focused on those materials. Any other resources for BPD-partner healing and self-esteem building that anyone knows of?

If you are codependent, there is CoDA. If your partner has comorbid things like sex addiction, there is COSA. There is also Alanon.

As far as support groups in real life, I am not aware of any. All I have been able to find is virtual support.
