Title: Help Ex contacted me
Post by: thelword on November 12, 2014, 01:14:46 AM
So I've been no contact with my ex BPD girlfriend for 8 months. Haven't seen her for 1 year. (We were together 2.5 years prior).

I still have her number and e-mail blocked and in the past 8 months neither of us broke contact until now.

Basically I think I'm ready to date and posted a CL personals ad for dating (not hookups). I didn't post a picture, my name, and the city I used was the next city over.

Today I get an e mail for the ad and it's from her! She started the e mail with the first thing I ever said to her. She said, "If I didn't know it was you, I'd respond. I just wanted to say i hope you are well. The city isn't the same without you. Take care."

I'm a lesbian so the dating pool is much smaller, but this was a huge shock for me. I'm guessing she knew by my age, interests, etc.

The more I think about it, the more I think

she was just looking for a random hookup or meets people off there, I don't know.

As much as it sounds like a romantic movie, this is kind of a nightmare for me too. The damage she did to me is to date the worst heartbreak I've felt.

What are the odds? I told no one I made the ad by the way. She didn't have any passwords.

What do you think her purpose was? Just to weasel back in and get some supply again?

I haven't responded.

There may be no ulterior motive other than a hope not to lose a valued connection or attachment.  You may be right that she often looks there and randomly ran across your ad.

My BPD r/s was to date the biggest heartbreak of my life, and there have been other valiant contenders for that title ... .my heart goes out to you.
