Title: lack of sleep
Post by: enlighten me on November 17, 2014, 08:13:18 AM
I just read an article about hows members of the British army returning from Afghanistan suffer from insomnia or a reduced sleep cycle. I can relate to this with dealing with detatching from pwBPD. my sleep pattern is only about 5 hours now down from 6 1/2. Just goes to show how deep into your head they get that you cant even escape them when sleeping.

My sleep pattern has improved, but for the longest time I was waking up at 3:36-3:38 every single night.  No clue why it was that exact time, but it was driving me nuts.  Now I can sleep through the night fairly well, but detaching from a BPDx can mess up your sleep for sure.

Its weird, but I can identify.

Whenever I was with my uBPD-ex, I could sleep 7 to 8 hours. Whenever we were in an argument or a bad phase... .I'd be waking up at 4 and could NOT sleep at all.

I can certainly relate.

During the push/pull confusion at its worst point I was down to 2 hours per night.  I'd finally doze off at around 3am only to snap wide awake at about 5

Couldn't do anything about it.  Even now I only get about 6 hours and I always used to be someone who slept until my alarm woke me
