Title: Argh She's contacted me...
Post by: Hadlee on November 27, 2014, 07:14:43 PM
After 2 weeks of NC with BPD friend since I deleted her from Facebook, she messaged me saying she doesn't know why I unfriended her and was going to ask me if I wanted to catch up with her next week (she is back at work next week after being on leave for 2 weeks).  She added the usual kiss and hug to her message.  Ugh I was just getting to a place of peace too.  It almost feels like she is psychic - contacts me just when I am at peace and feeling happy.

I did fib and say I didn't deliberately delete her when I did a cull lol I also didn't re-add her.  It's easier for me that way.

It's frustrating cause I know I need to keep the peace and be nice due to our work situation.  I don't want to deal with a hate campaign!  Just when I think she has gone off with a shiny new toy, she comes back all loving again.

As frustrating as this situation is - I have gained so much insight into the disorder since joining this site.  Plus getting responses to my posts and messages from some wonderful people has also helped.  So thank you

I am not looking forward to next week at work now.

Sorry to hear this, Hadlee. Mine blocked me from Instagram, and when I suggested to my therapist that I block, delete, or unfriend-she advised against it. Said it might trigger my ex-friend wBPD.

Take it easy, and try not to interact, if possible. Keep posting.

Thanks KeepOnGoing :)

I have just been to see my T and she said the same thing.

So now I'm wondering if I should send her a friend request to avoid any further trigger based craziness - especially after her last crazy attempt to eff with my mind!  No doubt she may be seething that I haven't done it already!

I say do what you think is right for you. You know more about the situation than your therapist. It is no longer about your ex. Take care of yourself first.

Thanks Waifed  :)

You are right - it is about me now.  Adding her back on Facebook is not right for me.  Got a shock earlier as I saw her at work.  She's not due back till next week, so don't know why she was there.

I had a feeling of dread in my tummy when I saw her.  Definitely a sign for me to avoid her as best I can.
