Title: Update with the crazy Post by: newlymarried on December 01, 2014, 12:25:34 AM BPDbiomom is 3 months pregnant with felon's kid. She has a 6 month old by him now. She hasn't seen kiddo in 4 months. In July the felon was arrested for domestic violence and child abuse. She still calls regularly and my DH has just pro-sed the paperwork for supervised visits with a mental health provider that BPDbiomom must pay for. She still, after 3 years has never paid child support.
The last time kiddo saw her BPDbiomom. she was left unsupervised by running water, a river. She came back sun burnt, sick and hungry; because BPDbiomom was in the love bomb phase with felon, it was right after his arrest. Kiddo isn't supposed to be around felon. BPDbiomom has been in contempt of every iteration of the child custody agreement, since it was first drawn up. I don't think that BPDbiomom will pay the mental health professional to see kiddo. I don't think that kiddo will ever see her again. I am currently in school to advance my degree, with the support of my amazing DH. I am looking at working full time to allow for more family time than what we have now. My DH and I work opposite days, and I work 12 hour overnights when I work, so we never see each other. I am doing my best to land a full time day gig. Hopefully the lack of actual visitation and the fact that kiddo hasn't seen BPDbiomom in a long time will make the eventual adoption process a go. Title: Re: Update with the crazy Post by: catnap on December 01, 2014, 11:12:24 AM Depending you may have to wait about a year of no visits from Mom (very likely she will not bother to do the supervised visitation) before DH can file to have her parental rights removed. Once that is accomplished, then adoption should be relatively simple.
My son got sole custody, exgf supervised visitation she had to pay for (she never did, nor did she pay child support), a little over a year later, he went to court to have her parental rights removed. I am hoping that between the lack of visitation and lack of child support, it won't be difficult for us to term her rights.
