Title: So many triggers... Post by: Xidion on December 16, 2014, 10:17:45 PM I'm new to the town I live in. I moved here because she lives here. I got a job here. I got a promotion at my job, so right now I'm stuck here. She lives right down the street from me with her grandma. She works at walmart "the go to place around here for everything". Often we could just drive around for hours hanging out. Every street corner, every road, every restaraunt and shopping center is a trigger. Waking into walmart is horrible. I would often take her lunch or take her money while she was at work. How do I overcome these obstacles?
Title: Re: So many triggers... Post by: enlighten me on December 16, 2014, 10:55:39 PM I think we all have so many triggers. It doesnt matter where you live you always will have them. Whether its buying christmas cards and seeing ones that you would have bought for them or just getting a mcdonalds as she also eats mcdonalds. Getting over these triggers takes time. Its about devaluing yhe relationship. Lessoning how strong your feelings towards them are. Eventually you will meet someone else and rewrite the memories. Cards will have a new meaning, shopping will have a new purpose. Im sorry its not a quick fix.
