Title: 20 year anniversary Post by: formflier on December 17, 2014, 08:15:58 AM Today is my 20 year marriage anniversary. Been dealing with BPD traits for 5 years or so. Now that I know what I'm looking for... .I can remember some hints from before that. Sometime in January will be my one year anniversary of hearing Borderline Personality Disorder for the first time in my life. It was eye opening... .once I started reading I figured out that I was not alone. My life is dramatically better this year than it was last year at this time. Are their things that I would like to improve... .sure... .and I have some strategies in place for that. It's all about TLCs... tiny little changes... .then... .have the wisdom and calmness to look back over a period of time and see if things are better... or worse. Title: Re: 20 year anniversary Post by: Crumbling on December 17, 2014, 08:52:52 AM Here, Here! Cheers! Way to go! Twenty years is a long time. Good work.
It was Jan of last year that I too first heard of BPD. My hubby started T at that time. How things are now for us now, is so much better than a year ago. Small steps have added up. What we just went through, me loosing my serenity this past weekend, has already started to blow over, and not become the tumultuous ride it would have been a year ago. The ending would have been a lot different, and much more destructive to both of us back then. Congrats on your day, friend! I am trying like heck to do whatever I can to make the relationship work and at the same time learn to take care of myself.

You say you've been dealing with BPD the last five years. Did you have 15 years of smooth sailing before the traits showed up? Title: Re: 20 year anniversary Post by: 123Phoebe on December 17, 2014, 06:37:16 PM Happy Anniversary, formflier!
