Title: Merry Christmas Post by: believer55 on December 23, 2014, 06:33:11 PM Well it is Christmas Eve here and I am trying not to keep worrying about what "might" happen if uBPDh has a moment on the day. I am starting to view his behaviour like a traffic light - green (all OK), Amber (be on the look out) and Red (Oh no too late). We were wrapping presents for the kids last night and I watched him go between amber and red all night so I knew what language to use with him to not help escalate it. By the time I went to bed it was very close to full on red and I was gald to retreat to the bedroom alone. This morning he was surprisingly good and I wonder if my new approach had helped.
Anyway I am hoping you all have a regulated Christmas and enjoy moments of love and light. Thank you all for being a wonderful source of support. Don't forget how important and wonderful you are! Gave him notice a week ago that I was going to do it, have been reminding in a validating way everyday since and still he looked like he was going to explode. All quiet now as he is shut away in a very clean bedroom :) but attempting to pick a fight every time he comes downstairs. I am being light and breezy and enjoying watching 101 Dalmations with s6.
