Title: Been with my husband for 20 years and 2 kids just realizing he has BPD
Post by: florence on January 01, 2015, 04:59:40 PM
I have never done this before but I need some support.  I've been with my husband for a long time we have kids.  I found the book walking on eggshells and realized that's me I always say I feel like I'm walking on eggshells on a roller coaster.  My husband comes from a war torn country I always thought he might have some form of PTSD.  Lately I've had so many putdowns I don't like myself anymore.  I put up a wall years ago now I would like to break it down. Anyone in a similar situation?

Yes... .I am in a similar situation.

I found out about BPD and that book you mentioned "WOE"... .about a year ago.  I'm at 20 years in my marriage.

Learning about BPD traits and tools on this site has been a big part of changing my life and my r/s (relationship) for the better.

I'll also say that PTSD can sometimes present with BPD like symptions... .and vice versa.

So... .I'm glad you are here... .we can help.

Please give us more information on your relationship and some of the parts of that relationship that are bothering you.

Look to the right side of the screen.  See "the lessons"... .please start reading... .asking questions on the staying board.

We can help you!
