Title: Going out tonight to take mind off her. Feel like a BPD myself. Post by: paperlung on January 05, 2015, 12:07:27 PM I wrote my ex an email last basically telling her I don't want to hear from or see her anymore. We were already broken up, happened over a year ago, but I was slowly finding myself catching the faintness of feelings for her again after a couple of encounters and frequent text messaging. I feel pretty sad about it, but know I cannot allow myself to get too involved with this clearly still emotionally unstable person.
So, I'm going out tonight with my friends to take mind off it, but feel like that's what a person with BPD would do. I'm sure when my ex read my letter she felt sad for a period of time but then probably directed her attention to one of the handful of guys she is seeing. Is it wrong of me to want to do the same? Not on other women, mind you. Title: Re: Going out tonight to take mind off her. Feel like a BPD myself. Post by: EaglesJuju on January 05, 2015, 12:19:44 PM It is not wrong for you to go out and have fun. I can understand how you might think that is something that a pwBPD would do. We all need a break from heavy-duty emotional stuff. Not fixating on your sadness is perfectly normal. Why do you think it is wrong to have fun and do something for you?
