Title: partner with BPD Post by: purple62 on January 05, 2015, 02:28:19 PM My boyfriend suffers from BPD. Mornings seem to be the toughest time for him. He wakes up feeling frightened & overwhelmed. I do my best to support, love & comfort him. He knows he has BPD and we are trying together to find answers to help him. He is a good person who feels empty and unworthy. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The good news is, you know he has BPD. Believe me, that is HUGE. It puts some order to the chaos and helps you see things with a different perspective. My wife has problems in the morning, too, and at bedtime. I think her morning issues have to do with her not sleeping well, bad dreams, and anxiety over the coming day. She once described her days as a challenge to make it to the end of the day without being bored or depressed. No wonder she would be grumpy in the morning! Glad you found us here.
