Title: BPD and emotional shutdown
Post by: H Hi on January 06, 2015, 04:26:05 PM
I read this earlier and I thought I would share it.

It is ok to feel whatever you feel. Feelings are normal whatever they are. They are a natural response to life.

I think one of the hardest things I found was my exs ability to just switch feelings off. She could be crying or upset or fed up then the next second be absolutely fine. She also did not like the fact that I was open with my emotions. I did not find it shameful to cry if I was upset, laugh out loud if I found something funny. The only emotion she couldn't seem to control was anger/ grumpiness.
