Title: I love you just the way you are, exactly as you are
Post by: Moselle on January 11, 2015, 11:30:04 AM
Every now and then, there's a ray on sunshine in the FOG and we have a day which makes "staying" worthwhile.

Today was such a day for me. My wife decided (out of the blue) this week to apply this article to her mothering. www.handsfreemama.com/2014/05/20/to-build-or-break-a-childs-spirit/

It is a HUGE step forward for our family, certainly in terms of her awareness of how her disorder affects our children. She has used punishment in all its forms (emotional, physical, mental) with all of us including our three children, and for her to acknowledge this to me and decide to be better, is massive for me, and I feel proud of the efforts in 2014 to get here. She did lose it a few times this week, but she is really making an effort to parent positively.

I looked at her, told her that I was proud of her and that it must have taken alot of courage to change this week. She gave me that smile that I love, and we are having a great day, just for today.

Enjoy the day.

Crazy how "that smile" makes it all worthwhile.
