Title: Not really new
Post by: Fatigued on February 13, 2015, 11:14:52 AM
Hi --

I have posted before, the last one in mid 2014 about the BPD sis wanting a promise to have a kidney from other sis or me, or both. Long time since then, and since, there has been breast cancer (or not) and most recently, a detached retina (or not).  Meanwhile, BPD sis has been arrested (theft), and periodically goes through no money, no food, possible eviction and so on.  I've supported her financially for decades -- but now have become "dead" because no more funds are coming her way.  Meanwhile, a benefactor of hers apparently left her many millions, so BPD sis is fine -- problem is that benefactor has no money, and is still among the living... .

Anyone out there who has or is dealing with severe delusions along these lines?

Thanks in advance... .

Wow. I'm sorry.

All I can suggest is that you try to love your sister without becoming enmeshed in her chaos. Not much else you can do. She needs to want to change before anything will get better. Hang in there.

Hi eyvindr --

Many thanks for your note -- and yes, both other sister and I are trying to do just what you suggest. It would do no good to become enmeshed with BPD sis's delusions -- and importantly, it would do no good for her.

Warm regards,

Fatigued
