Title: A theory I have about NPD'ers Post by: Jack2727 on February 26, 2015, 09:11:10 AM Hey all,
I know that some BPDers are comorbid with NPD. I know my last two ex's were both NPD. I have a theory that NPDs are attracted to two types or people, codependants and NPDs. The cycle that seems to take place is that NPDs seek out codependents sometimes as a way to inflict damage after being wounded by a fellow narcissist. Since the narcissist tends to split and become unavailable, the NPDer will seek out a non to "make themselves feel better" and ultimately dump the codependent once their ego is repaired. This is just a theory and I have no clinical basis other than what I experienced in the last two relationships. It seems a NPD will seek out a stronger NPD and submit to that person. Any thoughts? Are we on about NPD exactly here, because if its a female shes more likely HPD like my ex, if so I read something spot on about how they act psychologically within and after a relationship. |
