Title: Just got FB friends request from ex's family member who has autism :(
Post by: nowwhatz on March 02, 2015, 04:04:09 PM
To backtrack I have un-friended my exgf on FB but am friends with one of her nephews and I intend to keep that friendship going for various reasons. As it goes with FB unless I start a blocking spree her other relatives can see a little bit of my page.

A little while ago I received a friends request from another family member who is a young man with autism.  He would frequently post on my exgf's timeline "say hello to nowwhatz   He is a sweet kid (I call him a kid) but I am hesitant to add him as a friend because he probably doesn't know I have broken it off with his aunt.

Stupid I know to be thinking this way but if I don't accept his request he will probably be hurt.

I am trying to be a little more active on FB to reconnect with people who I neglected so I will be online more than in the past.

So there I go putting the vulnerable before myself.

My thoughts are to leave it alone and maybe one of his parents who take care of him might see it and rescind it somehow.
